Rotary East and Disney Trip Instructions When You Fly Into Columbus

HOW TO FLY

WHEN YOU GET  TO Columbus Airport

There will be someone waiting at the airport in the baggage claim holding a sign

Rotary Adventure Tours   

There will be a Rotary Chaperone in the airport when all flights arrive.  If the Chaperone is indisposed or busy, students are expected to wait at location indicated for the chaperone after they get their bags. 

Call 614-565-3072 & 614-517-7702 if no one is there to pick you up.

Once you get your bags and meeting the chaperones they will direct you to where to meet the volunteers who are shuttling you to the airport. You do not need to take a shuttle or taxi. We will get you to the hotel.

HOW TO AVOID PROBLEMS WHEN FLYING

• Get to the airport 2 hours before flight time to check in. DO NOT BE LATE

• Make  Sure You Have A Government Issued ID... Passport is best

• There are usually kiosk or terminals where you can enter your information (or swipe your credit card) and it will print your boarding pass.  

• You then check your luggage  (for which you will probably be charged between $15 and $25 per bag depending on the airline).  

• Go through security as soon as possible, then take the flight. 

• Do not mess around during connections . Go straight to the new gate and pay attention.   Get on the connection as soon as they will let you. 

• IF YOU HAVE AN ISSUE: Cancelled or delayed flight, go to the Agent AS SOON AND POSSIBLE, and DO NOT MOVE UNTIL IT IS FIXED.  CRY IF YOU HAVE TO.  Then call 614-517-7702 and let me know when you will arrive.

If you are coming from outside Central Ohio or related areas,  remember that no flights are included in the cost of this tour.   There may be a overnight room charge of $40.00 as well as your hotel.  

You must make your reservations on the EARLIEST POSSIBLE FLIGHT, MARCH 16TH TO COLUMBUS OHIO, airport code CMH.  Returning on the EARLIEST POSSIBLE FLIGHT, MARCH 26  FROM COLUMBUS OHIO TO YOUR HOST CITY.

.  We urge you to take the earliest flight available from your hometown.  This should keep you from missing the trip due to flight delays and cancellation.  Our bus MUST leave early in the morning and if you can't arrive you may miss the trip.
